Howduino Leeds

Howduino will be heading over to Yorkshire at the end of March.  The Jam Jar Collective have arranged for us to visit their base at Templeworks on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of March 2011.  Parking: the on site car park will be free for attendees.

Who'll Be Attending?

We'll get the most out of the day if we find out a bit more about who's coming, what sorts of thing you're interested in, and your areas of (or lack of) expertise.  Tell us a bit about yourself below, then start brainstorming what we can build on the PossibleProjects page.

1. Adrian McEwen - blog twitter.com/amcewen - Howduino organiser and Arduino hacker, better at software than hardware
2. Thom Shannon - blog twitter - Another Howduino organiser and Arduino hacker, mainly a software guy
3. Stuart Childs - site twitter - general fiddler and maker of mess and things. Better at hardware than software
4. Nigel Spowage - Software guy with some knowledge of electronics. Would like to get a graphical LCD working with an arduino as part of a bigger project. Will most likely only be around for the Saturday.
5. Frankie Roberto (@frankieroberto) - travelling to Howduino from Sheffield. Will be trying to finish my super simple 4-button LED game, and trying to debug an existing Job Box project. I'm still a novice hardware hacker but I have a good collection of buttons and switches.
6. Emmi Hartikainen - coming from Edinburgh and only there for Saturday. Design & Digital Arts student, background in product design. I lack in expertise in most areas when it comes to electronics. Ideas person. 
7. Colin Froggatt - software guy, likes taking things apart and sometimes putting them back together again.  Interested in working with IR remotes, computer vision and interactive surfaces - little experience with any of them.
8. Melanie Newbould - friends with Emmi, but only able to make it on the Sunday. Also coming from Edinburgh, and a Design and Digital Arts student. Trying to get a computer to log in to the system, emails, and various other accounts through RFID. Kinda know what I'm doing with the hardware, but programming goes over my head. New to it all.
9. Rob Knowles - Aiming to kickstart my latent fascination with the Arduino. I have an automated garden project on the go and am really interested in what others are up to. Jack of all trades, master of none! 
10. Johannes Faigle - twitter - Completely new to hardware hacking, but wan't to learn a lot! I'm thinking about maybe build a remote camera trigger for my old DSLR or building a simple game, but I'm also open to help out on other projects. Will travel from Sheffield as well. 
11. Aidan Dunbar - Leeds based Photography student with a bit of experience with software and hardware. No pre-planned projects in mind, but I'm interested to see what I can help contribute to!
